They first earned a Polish pension, legally immigrated to the United States, and then earned a Social Security pension. When they went to collect their Social Security pension, they were told that the WEP must reduce it because they did not pay into Social Security while earning their Polish pension. This is completely illogical and unjust.<br \/><br \/>\n        <span style=\"color:red\">\n            (Alternatively, if you are personally affected by the WEP, you can say: \u201cI am a Polish American who earned a Polish pension, legally immigrated to the States, and then earned a Social Security pension. Because of the WEP, my Social Security pension has been reduced by XX percent because I did not pay into Social Security when I earned my Polish pension. This is completely illogical and unjust.\u201d)<br \/><br \/>\n        <\/span>\n        The Social Security Fairness Act is about Fairness and every Congressional Representative should fight this injustice.
